Imam Mojtaba Khamenei’s Message About The Iranian Nation’s Farewell To Shaheed Khamenei

In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

To the magnificent, extraordinary nation of Iran!

Peace, salutations, and gratitude be upon you, who – through your unparalleled and historic epic in the unprecedented rising up in the farewell [ceremony] for the Martyred Leader of Iran (Shaheed Khamenei) – established a new standard in the manifestation of the Be’tha and the firm will of the Islamic–Iranian identity in [your] appreciation, loyalty, Baseerah (insight), and extraordinary expression of love for the Leader of the Islamic Ummah and the Martyred Leader of the [Islamic] Revolution.

The warmth of inflamed hearts, tearful eyes, and the steadfast resolve of tens of millions of people – stretching across tens of kilometers in Tehran, Qom, Mashhad, and other cities and villages – drew admiration from the friends of the Iranian nation and the free people of the world, while leaving the arrogant enemies of Iran bewildered, confused, enraged, and fearful.

Coinciding with this [historic] epic, the repeated violations of commitments by the Great Satan (America) regarding the memorandum of understanding (the MOU) signed between the Presidents of Iran and America, has once again proved this [fundamental] truth to all: [and that is] the extent of the worthlessness and unreliability of the American President’s signature, and that coercion, totalitarianism, and savagery are inseparable components of American principles and doctrines.

Today, the Great Satan (America) has once again revealed its true face without a mask, so that this dark experience of crime and broken promises becomes [yet] another firm proof of America’s deceitfulness, irrationality, untrustworthiness, and filthiness.

Now that the American enemy seeks to further escalate the conflict and [thus,] incur heavier costs and further humiliation, it (America) must know that the noble Iranian nation and the Resistance Front have unforgettable lessons [in store] for it (America) – of which the bravery of the soldiers of Islam and the honor of the courageous people of the southern regions [of Iran,] in these days, are [prime] examples.

It is necessary to humbly tell you – the loyal and honorable people of Iran – that among the most fundamental matters at this stage, is insistence on unity of word and sacred unity at all levels – [among] the people, and [among] the officials, and across all spheres – in order to actualize the lofty ideals of the Islamic Revolution and to secure the dignity and independence of beloved Iran, especially in the face of the criminal and deceitful American enemy.

As has been repeatedly and emphatically emphasized in the past, safeguarding unity and avoiding division, conflict, political discord, and the exaggeration of social differences is everyone’s duty.

Of course, the role of officials and [the role of] those who care about and are concerned about the [Islamic] Revolution, Imam Khomeini (R), and the Martyred Leader (Shaheed Khamenei) is even more important and more critical when it comes to maintaining national cohesion and unity.

Accordingly, the dear nation – by continuing to trust in the sincere officials that are across all three branches of the government, whose efforts for the welfare and prosperity of the nation are evident – will [also] continue to remain vigilant and active in the arena to safeguard the interests of Islamic Iran.

It is possible that some individuals, with complete sincerity and out of goodwill, may have criticisms regarding the performance of certain officials.

In my humble view, while such concern and worry for the system – much like these individuals themselves [who have such concern and worry for the system] – constitutes a valuable asset and is in itself desirable, these dearly esteemed people, some of whom have outstanding Baseerah (insight), must be careful that this approach does not, firstly, result in injustice toward the innocent, which itself becomes a cause for the deprivation of divine blessings and endowments.

And secondly, [they must be careful] that it does not lead to the breakdown of unity and social cohesion. If these conditions are observed, such criticisms will contribute to prosperity and flourishing of affairs.

The enemy must not perceive any sign of weakness from us – including this kind of weakness (disunity). Whenever we fully observe these precautions, it (the enemy) will inevitably be forced to retreat.

Once again, I sincerely thank each and every one of the dearly esteemed people – who themselves are the [fundamental] hosts for the mourning of the Martyred Father of the Ummah – and who, despite hardships, some limitations, and difficulties, created a historic epic in the grand farewell ceremony for the Martyred Leader of Iran.

I also express gratitude to the esteemed Maraje’ Taqlid, the Ulema (religious scholars), thinkers, elites, cultural, social, and political activists, and [express gratitude] for the efforts of civilian and military institutions, and [express gratitude] for the presence of officials and representatives of the honorable Resistance Front and the admirable Islamic movements.

It is hoped that all those who, in any way, participated, accompanied, or expressed solidarity in this historic epic will be encompassed by the grace and special prayers of our Master (Imam al-Mahdi (A)) –may Allah the Exalted hasten his honorable reappearance.
