Imam Khamenei’s Message On Iran’s Victory

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

Greetings and heartfelt salutations to the dear and great nation of Iran. First and foremost, I honor the memory of the noble martyrs of recent events – the martyred commanders and martyred scientists who truly and sincerely were valuable for the Islamic Republic and served the Islamic Republic. And – Allah willing – they are now receiving the reward for their distinguished service in the presence of the Almighty Allah.

I find it necessary to congratulate the great Iranian nation on its victory. I congratulate the [Iranian] nation on a few points.

The first congratulations is on our victory over the fake Zionist regime. The Zionist regime – with all its noise and its claims [of superiority] – was practically brought to its knees and crushed under the blows of the Islamic Republic.

They never imagined or even thought that such a [powerful] strike against the [Zionist] regime would come from the Islamic Republic – but the strike did happen.

Thanks be to Allah, Who helped our Armed Forces to penetrate the Zionist regime’s advanced multi-layered defenses, and were able to strike many of their urban and military centers, and leveled many of them with the [Iranian] Armed Forces’ powerful and advanced missiles and weapons.

This is one of Allah’s greatest blessings. This shows that the Zionist regime must now know that aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran will come at a [high] cost for them, [and] it will create a high cost for them and is creating a high cost for them. And praise be to Allah, this happened.

The credit belongs to our Armed Forces and our dearly esteemed people who raised the Armed Forces from among themselves, the people nurtured them, the people supported them, and they created the Armed Forces’ hands to be able to do such a great act; the people strengthened their hand.

The second congratulation is regarding the victory of our dearly esteemed Iran over the American regime.

The American regime entered the war directly – because it sensed that if it didn’t [enter the war], the Zionist regime would be wiped out entirely wiped. America entered the war to save the Zionist regime, but the Americans gained nothing from this war.

They attacked our nuclear facilities – which, of course, must be independently pursued in international courts of law – but they weren’t able to achieve anything of significance.

The American president exaggerated their attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities in an abnormal manner, and revealed that the Americans were in need of exaggerating. Anyone listening to his words, understood that underneath his [exaggerated] words was a different reality; [that] they weren’t able to do anything.

They weren’t able to accomplish their objectives – and that’s why they exaggerate so that they can muffle and hide the truth.

Here too, the Islamic Republic was victorious, and in response, the Islamic Republic struck a harsh slap to America’s face. The Islamic Republic struck and damaged one of America’s most important [military] bases in the region – the al-Udeid Airbase.

The same people who earlier had exaggerated about their attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, now tried to downplay Iran’s attack on al-Udeid, claiming nothing had happened — when in fact, a major event had occurred.

The fact that the Islamic Republic has the capability to strike key American assets in the region, and act against them whenever it deems necessary, is no small matter, it’s a big event – and it can also be repeated in the future.

If any aggression is committed [by them], the cost for the enemy and the aggressor will definitely be a heavy one.

The third congratulation is for the incredible unity and solidarity of the Iranian people.

Praise be to Allah, a nation consisting of nearly 90 million stood united, as one voice, shoulder to shoulder, next to one another, without any differences, expressed their goals and demands, as they stood firm, chanted slogans, spoke out, and supported the actions of the Armed Forces – and the same thing will also continue to happen in the future.

The people of Iran showed their greatness, [and] their exceptional and distinguished character in these recent events. And they proved that in critical times, one unified voice will rise from this nation. And by Allah’s grace, that is what happened.

The point that I want to present as a fundamental point of my statements is that the American president said in one of his statements and confessions, that Iran must surrender. “Surrender”. So this isn’t about enrichment anymore, this isn’t about the nuclear industry, this is about Iran’s surrender. Of course, these are really big words for the American president’s [little] mouth. The great Iran, the Iran with its history, the Iran with its culture, the Iran with its ironclad national determination; [using] the word “surrender” for such a country is a source of ridicule for those who know the Iranian nation.

But his confession has unmasked a truth; the Americans have been engaged in conflict with Islamic Iran since the beginning of the [Islamic] Revolution, they’ve been throwing punches, and each time they have an excuse. At one time it’s human rights, at another it’s defending democracy, at another it’s women’s rights, at another it’s enrichment, at another it’s the fundamentals of the nuclear issue, at another it’s the issue of building missiles. They bring forth various excuses, but the essence of the matter is nothing more than one thing, and that’s “Iran’s surrender.”

The previous ones (presidents) wouldn’t [openly] say this, because this is unacceptable. It isn’t acceptable in any human logic to tell a nation to come and surrender; that’s why they hid it under other pretexts.

This person (Trump) leaked the truth [they were hiding], he showed it and made it clear that the Americans will only be satisfied with Iran’s surrender and nothing less. And this is an important point!

The Iranian nation must know that this is [the reason for] the opposition to America, and this is a great insult to the Iranian nation harbored by the Americans, and such an event (surrender) will never happen; it will never happen.

The Iranian nation is a great nation. Iran is a strong and vast country. Iran has an ancient civilization. Our cultural and civilizational wealth is hundreds of times greater than America and the likes of America.

For someone to expect Iran to surrender to another country is one of those false shameful nonsenses that will certainly be ridiculed by wise and knowledgeable people. The Iranian nation is dearly esteemed, and it will be dearly esteemed; it is victorious, and it will be victorious, by Allah’s grace.

And we hope that Allah the Exalted will always protect this nation under the shade of Allah’s grace with dignity and honor, elevate the ranks of the great Imam [Khomeini], and may his eminence the Remnant of Allah (Imam al-Mahdi) – may our souls be sacrificed for him – be pleased and happy with this nation, and may his (A) help and support be with this nation.

And may the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
