An excerpt from the Leader’s condolence message:
I received with considerable grief and sorrow, the news of the demise of Ayatollah Haj Shaykh Muhammad-Taqi Misbah-Yazdi – a spiritual scholar, a Mujahid (a fighter on the path of Allah) who was a Faqih (a jurisprudent) and a Hakeem (philosopher/sage). This is a loss for the Islamic Seminary and for Islamic educational centers. He was an outstanding thinker, an honorable manager, an eloquent speaker for revealing Haqq (truth, reality, right), and one who stood firmly on the straight path.
