So, what’s the result? What is our duty? “And if they don’t oppose him, neither in words nor in actions” – the tradition is addressing those who see such an oppressive power in front of them and who don’t have a stance, who don’t adopt a position, and who don’t oppose it. This opposition is at times verbal and at times via actions; via both means. Sometimes, the conditions dictate that you take action against an oppressive power; and sometimes, the circumstances aren’t apt for taking action, but you can at the least adopt a position. Notice that these things clarify what our duty is today.
