The 13th of Aban (Nov. 4, 1979) is the manifestation of the Iranian nation’s fight [and defense] against arrogance. It was a great movement which our youth accomplished (i.e. the taking of the Den of Espionage). [And] it wasn’t the case that the Iranian people had issues with a few people residing in an embassy, rather the matter was an important and symbolic act in the fight against arrogance and which was duly carried out.
