“When they carried Imam Ali (A) into his house, they took him to his prayer mat where he used to say prayers. Imam Ali (A) had told them to take him there. They spread a sheet for him and put him there. At this moment, the Commander of the Faithful (A)’s daughters, Zaynab (A) and Umm Kulthoom (A), came. They sat behind Imam Ali (A) and began to cry. When Imam Hasan (A) cried, Imam Ali (A) comforted him. When Imam Husayn (A) cried, Imam Ali (A) comforted him as well and asked him to be patient. But when his daughters cried, Imam Ali (A) couldn’t endure it and began to cry loudly.”
