The soldiers [of the Islamic Republic] had managed to conquer Khorramshahr with a deadly and extraordinary effort for about a month – well, this was a very amazing and great achievement that our soldiers, the army, the Sepah, and the Basij were able to take Khorramshahr back from the enemy. Well, this could have created arrogance. Here, in order to not become arrogant – the impact of which is too great on all the people who are involved in work at any point – Imam Khomeini (R) said, “Allah liberated Khorramshahr”.
