Becoming a member of two international alliances…

Becoming a member of two international alliances [BRICS and SCO] in a short space of time was a very good achievement. It is not only beneficial for the country [Iran], but it also shows a fact and reality. Countries around the world are not fond of anyone that they [simply] extend the invitation for them to join; they invite others based on calculations. They accept any government [to join such alliances] based on calculations. These calculations are really important. This shows that the country [ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN] is in a position where the founders and members of these international alliances seek and sometimes even insist on our beloved country’s membership in them.
